Privacy statement

Version 6 August 2026

Classical NOW! handles your data with care. We collect as little as possible, place no advertising cookies and show no cookie banners — because none of that is needed when things are set up properly. Below you can read exactly what we do.

Who we are

Stichting Classical NOW is responsible for the processing of personal data on classicalnow.nl.

Stichting Classical NOW
Arnhemsestraat 62, 2587 SW The Hague, The Netherlands
dimitri@classicalnow.nl

Ordering tickets

When you order tickets through our site, we ask for your initials, surname, e-mail address, phone number and address. We use these to process your order, deliver your tickets by e-mail and reach you if anything changes around a concert. The legal basis is the performance of our agreement with you.

  • Payment is handled by payment provider Mollie (Amsterdam). Mollie processes your payment details under its own responsibility; we only see whether payment succeeded. See Mollie’s privacy statement.

  • Address assistance: when you enter your postcode and house number, your browser retrieves the matching address directly from the PDOK location service, run by the Dutch government. We store nothing extra in the process.

  • Retention: we keep order records for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires of our administration.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your e-mail address and language preference — based on your consent. You can unsubscribe at the bottom of every newsletter, after which we remove you from the list. We use the services Mailchimp and Laposta for our newsletter.

E-mail contact

If you e-mail us, we use your details only to answer your message, and we keep correspondence no longer than needed.

Visitor statistics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: which concerts attract interest, which pages are found. This is our legitimate interest as a cultural organisation. We have configured it in a privacy-friendly way:

  • no advertising cookies are placed and you are not tracked for advertising purposes;

  • your visit is not linked to a Google account or to your behaviour on other websites;

  • statistics are automatically deleted after 14 months;

  • even when we advertise on Google Search, Google measures the effect only through estimated, aggregated figures — without tracking you personally.

Cookies and local storage

This site places no tracking or advertising cookies, which is why it shows no cookie banner. What is stored in your browser:

  • _ga and _ga_3QTWH1Z7JK — anonymous visitor statistics (Google Analytics); expire after 2 years.

  • Shopping basket — remembers your selected tickets; 20 minutes.

  • Order details — pre-fills the form for a next order; until your payment is completed.

  • Measurement helper — prevents one order being counted twice in the statistics; stays locally in your browser.

Videos

Concert previews (YouTube, Vimeo) only load after you press play. Until that moment nothing is shared with these platforms; from then on their own privacy terms apply. We use the privacy-friendly embed variant.

Who we share data with

We never sell data and do not engage in profiling or automated decision-making. We do use service providers that process data on our behalf, under agreements covering security and confidentiality: Netlify (hosting), Supabase (order administration), Resend (ticket delivery), Mailchimp and Laposta (newsletter), Google (statistics) and Mollie (payments). IP addresses are used only briefly and technically — to prevent abuse of our forms — and are not kept in our records.

Some of these providers (Google, Netlify, Mailchimp, Resend) are US companies. Transfers to the United States are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Security

The connection to this site is always encrypted (https). Order data is kept in a restricted environment accessible only to those who need it, and the site’s security is reviewed periodically.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict processing, to object, and to receive your data in portable form. E-mail dimitri@classicalnow.nl and you will receive a reply within one month. If you believe we are not handling your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

Changes

If anything changes in how this site handles data, we will update this statement. The date at the top tells you when that last happened.
