About this concert

Chopin in a salon

Antonii Baryshevskyi, Artist in residence at Classical NOW!, has impressed us several times with adventurous and innovative programmes. This time he presents a complete Chopin recital, featuring the four Ballades and the 24 Préludes. In the intimate salon of Goodmesh with a first-class Steinway grand piano.

We are delighted to present him in this programme. During an earlier étude recital with us, and recently at his acclaimed debut at Amsterdam’s Muziekgebouw, Antonii already proved that he can make Chopin’s music sound masterful and new. It made a deep impression. You can hear how revolutionary Chopin was in his time.

This concert promises to be a special experience. Frédéric Chopin was not a man of large concert halls; he preferred to give his recitals in private, intimate salons. That is why we are now settling down in the atmospheric salon of Goodmesh. You will experience these masterpieces by Chopin in the setting for which they were originally intended.

Antonii Baryshevskyi won the prestigious Arthur Rubinstein Competition in 2014. He performs in leading concert halls and causes a sensation with the classical piano repertoire and with new music.
