An ode to imagination
The masterpianist Antonii Baryshevskyi presents a recital of etudes. He continues to captivate audiences with an inexhaustible palette of colours and the communicative power of his playing. He has won first prizes at the Arthur Rubinstein Competition and the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition. Two leading competitions. He has performed in prestigious concert halls from Wigmore Hall in London to the Philharmonie in Berlin. With this recital of etudes, he created a sensation in Kyiv several years ago.
New worlds of sound and expression
Since Chopin and Liszt, composers have not only demanded virtuosity from pianists in their etudes. They also open up new worlds of sound and expression, encouraging the pianist to rise above himself and his instrument. To this day, composers continue to write groundbreaking piano etudes.
That is why Antonii Baryshevskyi plays a wide selection of contemporary etudes by composers with whom he has a close relationship. An exhilarating recital. A journey through time and an ode to the boundless imagination of composers who continue to explore new worlds of sound and complexity.
